I wrote about foundation sticks and how they changed my life. Next up: bronzer sticks. Because, yep, these will change your life, too.
Buildable and blendable, shimmering or matte, there are tons of options out there for you in the form of a convenient stick. And whether you simply want to look like a beach babe or craft a contour, you can do it all in the form of these sticks.
And they aren’t just for your cheeks – you can also rub them on your lips, your cleavage, your shoulders… anywhere. They’re universal.
Literally all you have to do is rub the stick on, rub it in, and you’re good to go. You can set it, but the ones below will sink in and stay without even more makeup to keep it in place. Bronzer sticks are the way to go, and these 13 will convince you of that.
Bronzer Stick
We love trestique because of their two-in-one products. Simply rub on the bronzer end in the spots you want to tan (or contour), then use the opposite end – a contour brush – to buff it out. And like that, you have a sun-kissed glow. It’s currently sold out, but keep checking back, because it’s worth the $28 (obviously).
Boomstick Color
Woke up late and don’t have time to use all of your products? Pull out this bronzer stick, use it all over, and BOOM (sorry, not sorry): your face is ready. The bronzer acts as a lipstick, blush, and bronzer, flattering every inch of your face. Use it daily, and it will last 6-8 months – a little goes a long way! BOOM uses the term “woman,” but this bronzer is for everyone, promise.
Water Bronzer
We’ve all been there – we put on the bronzer, hit the water, and it’s suddenly a waterfall of orange down our faces and bodies. Ugh. Undone wasn’t okay with this, so they created their water-based bronzer stick. Blot, blend, blur, and stop worrying about streaks. You can wash it off at the end of the day with your makeup remover, no hard scrubbing required.
DOUBLE TAKE CONTOUR STICK
Hold your scroll, for a hot sec, because this two-in-one product will give you the contour you’ve been needing in one product. Sculpt is silicone-free, a creamy, buildable bronzer formula that will give you a jawline that kills. Follow it up with Strobe, filled with lychee extract, which hydrates and nourishes skin rather than drying it up with two layered products.
W3LL PEOPLE Supernatural Bronzer Stick
W3LL People is becoming more and more popular, thanks to their quality products – just peep the high reviews at Target! Aside from cheeks and lips, it’s also safe for eyelids, so you can have a no-makeup-makeup day. Organic green tea oil, jojoba oil, and sunflower seed oil come together in a creamy, dewy formula that hydrates and conditions.
All Aglow Bronzer & Highlighter Stick
Burt’s Bees, the OG, ultra-nourishing company. They combine bronzer and highlighter in one formula, creating a long-lasting formula that will give you a glow. Ingredients like coconut oil and jojoba oil are hydrating and moisturizing, while cupuacu butter helps with elasticity, and Daikon Radish Extract keeps it from getting greasy.
Bronzing Makeup Stick
Look, products that smell good are amazing… but not always, and especially not for people with sensitive skin. River Organics’ bronzer is made from nourishing shea butter, protective grapeseed oil, and anti-aging rosehip oil. Their ethics are also important: the paper packaging is eco-friendly, and the entire formula is vegan and cruelty-free.
SUNKISSED GLIMMERING SKIN STICKS
Micropearls give this formula a shimmer, while petite pieces of glitter give you glow without looking like you’re covered in sparkles. You can wear one sheer coat or layer for ultimate radiance – prickly pear extract keeps it hydrating, while oils such as jojoba, sunflower seed, and castor seed oil are soothing and moisturizing. Aka, the stick is never drying or cake-y.
Face Trace Contour Stick
You have three shade options, so any skin tone can find one that gives them the deeper, sun-kissed bronze they desire. Jojoba oil strengthens skin, kaolin clay absorbs excess oil, berryflux vita helps with hydration and fine lines, and their Biomimicry Pigment Technology works to fight pollution and other environmental stressors on your skin.
FAST-TRACK FACE STICK BRONZE
One review says that Trish McEvoy’s bronzer stick is best when you don’t want to use powder bronzer, and it’s understandable: the formula is smooth, creamy, and controllable. The handle is easy to grasp, making it, as the brand says, “mistake-proof.” You won’t find any phthalates, sulfates, parabens, or gluten here, giving you a super clean option.
Confidence Contour Stick
Uh, yeah, you should absolutely have confidence when wearing Command’s bronzer stick. The ingredients are what make it for QUILL: rosehip seed and argan oils combine for hydration, while vitamin E is an anti-inflammatory and protects from UV. The formula is waterproof, transferproof, and will never feel greasy; use it anywhere you want a little bronze.
Sculpted Face Stick
Ogee presents a bronzer stick that might as well be skincare, too. Green coffee oil encourages collagen production, Sal Tree Resin reduces the appearance of pores, and Organic tapioca powder soaks up oil and smoothes overall. There’s a subtle shimmer to this bronzer, but it won’t look like you’re wearing anything extra; we love a good no-makeup-makeup product.
stick bronzer with camu camu
Don’t want shimmer? Elaluz has got you. Want shimmer? Yup, Elaluz also can help there. You will find nothing bad in here. I’m not kidding. Nothing. It’s so natural, you could eat it (I don’t actually know this, don’t quote me). Camu camu is bursting with vitamin C to help with fine lines and to protect; meadowfoam seed oil locks in moisture; jasmine flower extract calms; sunflower seed oil brings in antioxidants; and tocopherol is filled with vitamin E, protecting and moisturizing. Yes, this is the longest description. Yes, it deserves this spotlight.
