I love revolutionary makeup products as much as the next person, but oftentimes I am humbled by what I am – a college student. A broke one, that is, so I unfortunately can’t be spending $42 on the Kosas Tinted Face Oil — meaning I’m reliant on dupes.
That I can’t hold the archetype in my hand is a damn shame, because everything about it just seems so nice. It’s light coverage with a bunch of whole ingredients that won’t make you feel too bad about coating your entire face in it. It’s got avocado oil for moisturizing, jojoba oil for a soothing aspect, and both meadowfoam and rosehip seed oils to brighten and plumpen your look to be more youthful. It gives you that perfect effortless and dewy look!
Are you sold, but not so committed to the price? Luckily for you, I’m still a baddie on a budget (sometimes), and we here at QUILL have compiled a list of Tinted Face Oil dupes for you all to check out — no Kosas required.
SunnyDays SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation
Tower 28 Beauty’s SunnyDays Tinted Sunscreen is a great start to this list. It’s got SPF to protect your skin, and also includes other clean ingredients to keep your face clean. Prickly pear extract is one of those, and helps repair the skin barrier while also protecting it from blue-light pollution. White sage extract is another ingredient that stands out; it helps with irritation and is supposedly soothing. What I also love about it is that it’s vegan and reef-safe, which is kind of hard these days to find with SPF!
Slip Tint Dewy Tinted Moisturizer SPF 35 Sunscreen
Another SPF tint coming your way. Saie’s Slip Tint Dewy Moisturizer is a perfect dupe for that light coverage look that Kosas’ Tinted Face Oil is serving. It’s a reputable one, too, ‘cuz it actually won Allure 2021’s Clean Beauty category! Not only is it clean, but it’s also hydrating and takes care of your skin; the hyaluronic acid will help retain moisture, and is also paired with pansy flower to really lock in that hydration.
Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen
Rare Beauty’s a real winner in our books. Their tinted moisturizer boasts a good shade range, and is also light coverage for that effortless look. This product happens to be vegan and cruelty-free, and is free of parabens! They’ve been doing their research too – in a study they conducted, 100% of triers said it has a super smooth application, and 94% say it evens out your skin tone naturally!
Maracuja Hydrating Tinted Moisturizer
tarte’s got a real treat for us; their Maracuja Tinted Moisturizer is a vegan product that provides a sheer coverage that supposedly lasts for 12 hours! tarte wants you to know that this product is finger-application-friendly, and that its ingredient list is also curated to make sure it matches your skincare routine. It has hyaluronic acid and turmeric root extract to hydrate and soothe your skin from redness. It also has Maracuja oil, which contains vitamin C and great fatty acids to really elevate the glow in your face.
Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 25 with Hyaluronic Acid
Here’s another sheer-coverage moisturizer for the books. Reviewers say it’s perfect for everyday makeup, and offers a glow for your radiant skin. Surprisingly, the ingredients for this tinted moisturizer are all oil-free, yet still provide hydration! This Tinted Face Oil dupe is free of sulfates, parabens, formaldehydes, and mineral oil, just to name a few – this ingredient list is pretty impressive, like Kosas’. It’s primer-infused so it really stays on your skin, all while protecting it from the sun! It has SPF 25 and also has hyaluronic acid as well.
4-In-1 Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20
PÜR’s Tinted Moisturizer is another product that is vegan and cruelty-free. It’s a 4-in-1 product; it moisturizes, primes, covers, and provides SPF! If you’re strapped for time like me and constantly buried in textbooks and exam-prep, then this is the product for you. It’s got sodium hyaluronate to firm up your skin, and even has retinol for an age-reducing look; you’ll save a lot of time using this one.
Glowstunner Hydrating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 Broad Spectrum Sunscreen
Morphe’s Glowstunner Tinted Moisturizer has SPF 30 in it to really protect your face from those rays! It’s even reef-safe, and provides hydration for up to 24 hours. Like the other great products on here, it’s also free of oils and parabens as well. It’s even got lactic acid to even out your complexion, and allantoin for inflammation. There’s also skin-healthy antioxidants in there; citric acid and Vitamin E has got your back with this product. And all for $18?! Count me in.
Kind Tint Tinted Serum
This serum is breathable, and more on the supportive side for your skin. It’s a natural tint, and provides a light coverage for the real you. It’s cruelty-free and vegan, and is even a little more environmentally conscious. It’s packed with a 50% PCR bottle and cap, which is fantastic for recycling. It has vegan collagen, hyaluronic acid, and Vitamin C, which is great for gentle application. No abrasiveness here, folks. The best part? It’s only $14.
White Tea Tinted Veil
Winky Lux has done it again; their White Tea Tinted Veil has an average rating of 4.7 stars, and for good reason, too! It’s an SPF 30 tint, and is infused with white tea and pomegranate to nourish and brighten your skin. Reviewers say that it’s an awesome product for oily skin, which is great for me — I love a dewy look, but often can’t find products for my own skin type. This dupe would be absolutely perfect if their shade range provided more options, so Kosas’ Tinted Face Oil wins in that category.
Goodness Glows Tinted Moisturizer
This tinted moisturizer is rich in antioxidants and really provides long-lasting moisture. It’s a smooth application with only natural ingredients too! Burt’s Bees sells on the environmentally-safe content list; they say that this product is formulated without environmental aggressors, and contains 98.8% ingredients that are of natural origin. This dupe of Kosas’ Tinted Face Oil is only available in two shades currently, but if your skin tone matches one, we recommend snagging it.
Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid
Neutrogena fans all know and rave about their Hydro Boost sunscreen. Good news for you guys; you can get their same hydro boosting technology in this light foundation, making it the dream dupe for Kosas’ Tinted Face Oil! This is a clean product paired with hyaluronic acid and is amazing for dry skin. It has a lightweight water gel formula, so it really feels cool and fresh on your face. Reviewers say that it isn’t cakey or tacky, and is perfectly moisturizing!
Dream Fresh Skin Hydrating BB Cream
Beauty OGs know that Maybelline was there for us since the beginning. They’re still at it, because their Dream Fresh BB Cream is an 8-in-1 product. Did I read that right? It apparently is all about skin health because it: hydrates, brightens, provides SPF 30, blurs imperfections, smooths, enhances, has oil-free ingredients, and evens skin tone. This light coverage BB cream is all about creating a blurring effect to really enhance your face’s best features. Now this is an all-in-one if I’ve ever seen it.
